McClaren Booted.....Not fair

I watched England play against Croatia last Wednesday. I felt terrible when England lost. Fans had many hopes. I don’t know whether to say Coach McClaren took a wrong gamble but for sure he didnt deserve the boot. If he wasn't qualified, had no idea and no direction then he shouldn't have been given the job in the first place.

I do not understand why every time England does not qualify for a single tournament then the manager is criticized and sacked. McClaren was fired just because England did not qualify for the 2008 European Championship. Last year the media and fans demanded for Englishman to be the coach even though Sven Goran tried till England reached three quarter finals.

Does England expect to win each game? Does it have poor choices of managers?

I know fans have high hopes and get disappointed when their team does not make it and so is the coach. I don't support the idea of sacking the coach each time the team loses. Goran was given the grain and now I feel sorry for McClaren who 18 months ago was so excited to be English coach who the media and fans demanded for

the whole team was crap, the players(but those players perform week in and out for their clubs), the manager, everything really, but steve was the one pulling the strings, so he had to face the boot, when a team full of 'world class' players fail to hold on to a lead, questions have to be asked. The croatia game they just needed a draw, and when they equalised what did McClaren did with the team...... substitutions wise?

did he deserve the job, on the first place? I would say NO! he was given that job because he is an englishman. (mistake # 1)Because then and now, there is no Englishman who is qualified for that job, Who?
