NBM launches Visa passport

NATIONAL Bank of Malawi (NBM) has introduced a Visa Cash Passport, which would replace traveller's cheques for those going abroad.Marketing Manager Wilkins Mijiga said Monday they have come up with the new product to reduce inconveniences associated with traveller's cheques."The providers for this service have moved with time and the new procedure of using the card would be a secure way to pay out for services our customers access world wide," Mijiga said.He added that those who require forex at the bank would follow the same procedure of going to the bank and applying for forex that would then be loaded on the card.The card would be giving its users access to the local currency of any country where there is a Visa branded ATM.
